How Verification Works

Submit your request

Complete one of the forms below, or email us at info@newyorkcomputerforensics.com.

Identity verification

We will email you at the address provided to confirm your identity before processing the request. For CCPA requests, we verify identity to a "reasonable degree of certainty" based on the information you provide. For higher-sensitivity requests such as deletion, we may ask for additional verification.

Processing

After verification, we locate and process your data within the applicable timeline. We will notify you if any exceptions apply, for example if data must be retained for a legal obligation.

Response

We will send you a written response confirming the action taken. For data access requests, we will provide your data in a structured, portable format.

GDPR Rights (EEA and UK Residents)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR grants you the following rights regarding your personal data held by New York Computer Forensics and its parent organization Global Digital Forensics.

We respond to verified GDPR requests within 30 calendar days. We may extend this by a further two months for complex or numerous requests, with written notice. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority, or the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

CCPA/CPRA Rights (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) grants you the following rights regarding your personal information held by New York Computer Forensics.

Right to Know Right to Delete Right to Correct Opt Out of Sale/Sharing Non-Discrimination

We respond to verified CCPA requests within 45 calendar days. We may extend by an additional 45 days with written notice. NYCF will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may submit requests up to twice in a 12-month period.

Request a Copy of My Data

Use this form to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (GDPR right of access, CCPA right to know). We will provide your data in a portable, structured format within the applicable timeframe after verifying your identity.

Request Deletion of My Data

Use this form to request deletion of your personal data (GDPR right to erasure, CCPA right to delete). We will delete your data unless an exception applies, such as a legal obligation to retain certain records or data needed to fulfill an existing service agreement.

Note: If you are an active client or party to an engagement, deletion of certain records may affect our ability to provide services or meet legal obligations. We will explain any applicable exceptions in our response.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

This section is provided for California residents under CCPA/CPRA Section 1798.120. New York Computer Forensics does not sell personal information and does not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. The toggle below reflects your opt-out status. Even though we do not sell or share data, you may submit a formal opt-out preference below.

Opt out of sale or sharing of my personal information
